Barbecue Sauce (BBQ Sauce)


For  Double recipe    (Makes 2 cups)

Onion and Garlic:

Tomato Paste Mixture:



  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Simmer, uncovered over medium-low heat 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce has deepened in color.


If you don't like smokey flavor, then substitute regular paprika for the smoked paprika.

If you like a spicier barbecue sauce add a few extra dashes of red cayenne pepper.

Use this sauce when preparing my pulled pork sandwiches or BBQ chicken.

Refrigerate leftover sauce for up to 2 weeks or freeze for use at a later date.
