For  Double Recipe    (Makes 24 brownies)

Ingredients to melt in saucepan on low heat:

Remove from heat add the following:

Optional Walnuts:


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Butter sides and bottom of baking pan and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan melt the semi-sweet and unsweetened chocolate along with the butter on low heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove melted mixture from the heat.
  5. Using a big spoon or spatula, stir in the brown sugar.
  6. Add the vanilla and stir.
  7. Stir in the eggs.
  8. Add the dry ingredients and stir until blended.
  9. Mix in optional chopped walnuts.
  10. Spread mixture in the buttered baking pan.
  11. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  12. Cool, cut and serve.


These are so rich that no frosting is needed.

These are great served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

This is a very easy recipe. Mix everything in one pot, pour into a baking dish and bake in the oven.

Come on, this is just as easy and way better than a box mix. You know what ingredients are in these brownies, you can pronounce all the ingredients, it's a win win recipe. Go for it and please stop buying those horrible boxed mixes.
