Chocolate Holiday Bites

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    Standard Oven: 350°   |   Convection Oven: 325°
  2. Lightly grease cookie sheets; set aside. Click here to learn more about how to grease cookie sheets.
  3. Melt chocolate chips and butter on low heat, stirring constantly until smooth; immediately remove from heat.
  4. Pour melted chocolate and butter mixture into a large mixing bowl and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Add brown sugar, vanilla and mix.
  6. Add eggs and mix.
  7. Mix in dry ingredients, scraping bowl as needed.
  8. Add baking bits and mix in.
  9. Spoon batter in loosely formed 1½-inch balls onto prepared cookie sheets spacing about 2-inches apart.
  10. Bake 8 minutes. Do not over bake as the cookies should be just barely set when lightly touched. Cooled cookies should have have a moist, brownie-like texture.
  11. Remove from baking sheet and cool on a rack.

Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies.

Note: Dough will be very moist and gooey when dropping onto cookie sheets but will mound up into nice cookies while baking.
