Easy Baked Italian Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a shallow skillet that can be used on the stovetop and in the the oven.
  3. In a small bowl mix together broth, sherry, basil oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour sauce over chicken breasts.
  5. Cover chicken breasts with ovenproof lid or foil and place in oven.
  6. Bake, covered for approximately 1 hour or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a sharp knife or fork.
  7. Place the chicken on a platter and return to oven while making the sauce.
  8. In a small bowl whisk together flour and cold water.
  9. Slowly stir flour and water mixture into the pan juices.
  10. Cook and stir over medium heat until sauce thickens.
  11. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  12. Serve.


Serve chicken and sauce over noodles or steamed rice.
