Spicy Red Pepper and Feta Spread

  1. Peel, core, seed, and finely chop the roasted red pepper; set aside. Click here for how to roast peppers.
  2. Heat oil on medium heat in a small skillet.
  3. Add the crushed red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Turn off the heat.
  5. Add the garlic and mix with the chile flakes; set aside.
  6. Place the feta cheese in a food processor.
  7. Add the olive oil mixture to the feta mixture.
  8. Process until well-combined.
  9. Scrape the feta cheese and oil mixture into a small mixing bowl.
  10. Add the finely chopped roasted red pepper.
  11. Mix together until incorporated.
  12. Transfer the spread to a serving bowl.
  13. Serve.


If the red pepper is on the large side, roast it whole and save out half for the spread. The other half can be used as a tasty edition a green salad.

This is a very spicy spread. Adjust the red pepper flakes based on your how hot you prefer the spread to be.
