Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients For Sauce:

  1. Bring water and salt to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add noodles and cook until the noodles are firm (package should give you some cooking guidelines).
  3. In a large sauté pan, melt butter.
  4. Add minced garlic to pan and stir for a few minutes.
  5. Turn off heat.
  6. Add cooked and drained noodles to sauté pan.
  7. Stir noodles to coat with butter.
  8. Add half and half and stir into noodles.
  9. Add cheese, stir into noodles.
  10. Salt and pepper to taste.
  11. Serve immediately.

It is easier to mix the noodles and cheese in a non-stick pan. Clean up is much easier.

The longer the noodles sit, the thicker the sauce will become. If it becomes too thick, just stir in a small amount of half and half.

Clean up is easiest if you rinse dishes in cold water and brush off cheese. Cold water keeps the cheese firm which is much easier to clean up than when it is melty hot.
