Frosted Chocolate Drops


For  Single recipe    (2½ Dozen Cookies)

  1. Preheat pure convection oven to 375°. If you are using a standard oven preheat to 400°.
  2. Grease cookies sheets and set aside. Click here to learn more about how to grease cookie sheets.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and repeat the process until the chocolate is completely melted.
  4. Set the chocolate aside to cool. If you do not have a microwave click here for other options on melting chocolate.
  5. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Mix in egg and vanilla.
  7. Mix in melted chocolate.
  8. Mix in buttermilk.
  9. Mix in dry ingredients.
  10. Add optional chopped walnuts.
  11. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart on the greased cookie sheets.
  12. Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
  13. Immediately remove from cookie sheets and cool on a rack.
  14. After cookies are completely cooled, frost with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
