Chocolate Glazed Peanut Butter Bars

Dry Ingredients:




  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease an oblong 13x9x2 baking pan; set aside.
  3. Thoroughly cream butter and peanut butter.
  4. Add sugars and cream until light and fluffy.
  5. Add egg and vanilla and mix in.
  6. Add dry ingredients and mix until well-blended.
  7. Press cookie dough into prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Remove from oven.
  10. Immediately sprinkle 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the baked crust.
  11. Let the chips soften and then spread evenly over the crust.
  12. Sprinkle the ½ cup finely chopped peanuts over the melted chocolate.
  13. Let cool on a rack.
  14. Cut into 2-inch squares and serve.


Makes 24 bars.

Creamy or crunchy peanut butter works for this recipe.
