Steamed Baby Carrots
- One 16-ounce bag baby carrots (1 pound)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Pour 1-inch of water into a medium saucepan.
- Insert a steamer basket.
- Rinse carrots.
- Pour carrots into steamer basket.
- Bring water in saucepan to a simmer.
- Cover saucepan with a lid.
- Steam carrots for about 20 minutes or until easily pierced with a paring knife.
- Transfer carrots to a serving bowl.
- Add butter and toss to coat.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
