Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter; softened (if you have cream cheese, substitute 3 tablespoons cream cheese for 3 tablespoons butter)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 cups confectioners sugar
Instructions

Cream butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy; do not over beat.
- Add vanilla, milk, and confectioners sugar.
- Beat until frosting has a smooth spreading consistency.
- Recipe fills and frosts two 9-inch layers, 24 cupcakes, or a 13 x 9-inch oblong cake.
Comments
Note: If you are frosting cookies add at least 1 extra tablespoon of milk so that the frosting is very thin in spreading consistency. It will go on the cookies more like a glaze.Use buttercream frosting to frost spice cupcakes, sugar cookies, or banana cake.
