Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    Standard Oven: 375°   |   Convection Oven: 400°
  2. Grease cookies sheets and set aside. Click here to learn more about how to grease cookie sheets.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in egg, buttermilk, and vanilla.
  5. Mix in dry ingredients.
  6. Mix in optional chopped walnuts.
  7. Mix in butterscotch chips.
  8. Spoon batter in loosely formed 1½-inch balls onto prepared cookie sheets spacing about 2-inches apart.
  9. Bake approximately 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched.
  10. Immediately remove from cookie sheets and cool on a rack.
