Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients

For  Half recipe    (Makes 1 cup)

Cocoa, Sugar, Salt:

Water:

Vanilla:

Instructions

  1. Whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, brown sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  2. Whisk in water.
  3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to a simmer. Stirring constantly simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add vanilla
  6. Cool.

Comments

Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Serve warm or at room temperature over ice cream.

To make chocolate milk or hot chocolate, combine 2 tablespoons syrup per 1 cup of milk.
