Pizza Sauce

Ingredients
Tomatoes and Tomato Paste:
- One 14-ounce petite diced tomatoes
- One 6-ounce can tomato paste
Olive Oil:
Spices:
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1½ teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Ground black pepper to taste

In a bowl mix together all ingredients.
- This recipe can be used to make a pizza pie or a recipe of cheese pizza.

Makes about 2½ cups sauce.How much sauce should you use on one pizza round?
A light coating of sauce is about ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons.
A thick coating of sauce is about 1 cup.
Refrigerate or freeze unused portions.
Sauce will keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
