Roasted Turkey Breast
- Seasoning Rub: 4 to 24 hours before roasting
- Roasting time: 15 to 20 minutes per pound
Ingredients
Turkey Breast:
- 1 bone-in whole turkey breast (4 to 7 pounds)
Seasoning Mixture:
- ½ teaspoon ground rosemary
- ½ teaspoon ground thyme
- ½ teaspoon ground sage
- ½ teaspoon ground paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoons ground black pepper
Butter:
- 4 tablespoons melted butter

In a small bowl whisk together seasonings.
- At least 4 to 24 hours before baking rub seasonings over the skin and bone of the turkey breast. Wrap in foil and refrigerate.
- Position a rack in center of oven.
- Preheat oven:
Standard Oven: 350° | Convection Oven: 325°
- If you have a Pure Convection setting on your oven use it!!! The skin becomes a beautiful golden brown and the meat is very tender and moist.
- Arrange turkey breast skin side up on a baking sheet or in a shallow roasting pan.
- Brush the skin with the melted butter.
- As a general guideline bone-in turkey breast takes 15 to 20 minutes per pound to roast.
- A 4-pound bone-in turkey breast will take approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes to roast.
- A 7-pound bone-in turkey breast will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2½ hours to roast.
- Roast until the meat releases clear juices when pricked deeply with a fork and registers 160°F on an instant read thermometer.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before carving.
Comments
Plan on 12-ounces of turkey breast meat per person. Approximately 5 to 9 servings based on the size of the turkey breast.Serve with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pan gravy for roasted turkey breast.
