Middle Eastern Steamed Rice



  1. Place rice in a saucepan.
  2. Add water (substitute chicken broth for a richer taste), butter, turmeric, and salt.
  3. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer rice for 20 minutes.
  5. Serve.


Makes approximately 6 cups of rice.
