White Sauce



  1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. In a small bowl mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add flour mixture to saucepan.
  4. Whisk flour mixture into the butter until smooth in consistency.
  5. Add milk.
  6. Whisk milk into flour and butter mixture.
  7. Turn the heat up to medium-low.
  8. Stir constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles.
  9. Remove from heat and serve.


Makes 1 cup of sauce.

Use this sauce when preparing creamed potatoes.
