Baked Potatoes
Ingredients
Potatoes:
- 1 baking (russett) potato per person
- Foil
Optional Topping Choices:
- Butter
- Salt and pepper
- Grated cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Chives
- Crumbled cooked bacon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°.
- Scrub the skin of the potato to remove any dirt.
- Pierce potato with a sharp fork or knife approximately 4 times across all sides.
- Wrap the potato in foil.
- Place wrapped potato directly on oven rack.
- Bake for 1½ hours.
- Remove foil from potato.
- Serve plain or with optional toppings.
Comments
If possible, weigh individual russet potatoes before purchasing. Medium russets that are about 8 to 10 ounces seem to be a good individual serving size.Making Roasted Chicken or Meatloaf?
