Gin Fizz

Ingredients

Serving Glass:

Lemon Garnish:

Gin, Lemon Juice, and Simple Syrup:

Cocktail Shaker:

Egg White:

Club Soda:

Ice Cubes:

Instructions

  1. To chill and frost the coupe glass, rinse in cold water, wipe off bottom of base and set glass in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare lemon slice and lemon twist; set aside.
  3. Pour gin, lemon juice, Simple Syrup, and egg white into a cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly (aggressively).
  4. Add ice and shake again.
  5. Remove chilled and frosted coupe glass from freezer.
  6. Pour 1 ounce club soda into glass.
  7. Pour gin mixture through the strainer at top of shaker into the chilled glass.
  8. Add lemon twist.
  9. Place lemon slice on rim of cup.
  10. Serve.

Recipe makes 1 Gin Fizz.

The protein from the egg white combined with the citric acid from the lemon will create a fluffy, stable and smooth foam that will rise to the top of the drink.
