  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together sugar and water.
  2. Turn heat on medium-low.
  3. Whisk mixture for 1 minute or until sugar has dissolved and liquid is clear; immediately remove from heat.
  4. Allow to cool to room temperature before using.
  5. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Comments

NOTE: If you are keeping the mixture for more than a week in the refrigerator, add 1 tablespoon vodka to preserve it.

Used for mixed drinks like: Gin Fizz and Old Fashioned.
