BBQ Chicken



  1. 2 to 3 hours before barbecuing apply dry rub to all surfaces of meat. Refrigerate until ready to cook.
  2. Preheat grill on direct high heat.
  3. Turn off middle burner and turn heat down to medium-low on remaining two burners.
  4. Place chicken meat side down in the center of the grill so that it is not over direct heat.
  5. Close lid and cook for 25 minutes.
  6. After 25 minutes, turn chicken meat side up keeping it in the center of the grill and cook for another 25 minutes.
  7. Total cooking time should be 40 to 50 minutes depending on the amount of chicken on the grill and the size of the chicken breasts.
  8. Baste the chicken with barbecue sauce 10 minutes before you remove the chicken from the grill.


Serve with barbecue sauce.
