Spicy Roasted Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)

Ingredients

For  Single recipe    (Makes 1 cup)

Olive Oil and Spice Mixture:

Garbanzo Beans:

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together olive oil, garlic, and spices.
  3. Add rinsed and drained chickpeas, toss to coat.
  4. Spread the chickpea mixture in bottom of the baking pan.
  5. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until garbanzo beans are golden.
  6. Remove to a serving bowl.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Comments

Best eaten just after roasting! Refrigerate unused portions. To reheat stir in medium-high skillet for a few minutes or reheat in microwave.

What is the difference between garbanzo beans and chickpeas? They are the same! Chickpea comes from Latin origins and garbanzo comes from Spanish origins.
